The key question, in relation to protsts like that at Stansted last week, is: which side are you on? Are you on the side of big corporations profiteering from completely unsustainable climate-destructive behaviour? Or are you on the side of people with no vested interests just making a non-violent stand, at considerable cost to their own time and money, for the sake of all our futures? Tricky thing, Science. All evidence must be interpreted. And we can never be sure that we have all the evidence. Any interpreation must be made through the belief system of the interpreter and that will have been subject to accepted conventional wisdom.
The people you are debating with feel threatened because you are challenging their beliefs. They have done themselves no favours though. Time to butt out, I think?
Incidentally the 3 grey parties are not Centre parties. The centre ground of british politics is at present a greenfield site waiting to be developed. Some greens are already there, but others cling to outmoded concepts and definitions that spark the type of conflict and accusations seen on that blog.
