I don't think it's philosophy driving politics. More like the privileged and favoured.

Glasman is a serious and brilliant thinker. Likewise Porritt. And Cruddas.
And they call Willetts 'two-brains'.
Yes, these are not un-'establishment' figures - but that doesn't mean they are not thinkers.
