Ludicrous Israeli propaganda against those that they have murdered: a comment

What is hilarious - and sickening - is the Israeli army/government's apparent belief that they had the right to board these ships - in international waters - with there being no resistance to them whatsoever to them doing so. Did they expect to be welcomed with bouquets of flowers??
It is mad that military ATTACKERS on an aid convoy can present themselves as if they are the victims!
Let's remember: they killed at least 10 of the humanitarian activists. While none of _them_ were killed. They are not the victims here! We know who are...
My thoughts are with the victims of this atrocity. And with the people, some of whom (such as the excellent Ewa Jasiewicz) I know personally, good good people, now languishing in Israeli jails. How disgraceful, how upside-down this world is: the peace activists trying to bust Israel's illegal blockade have been jailed, while the killers are probably being patted on the back right now...

Its another example of disproportionate force by the Israelis.

They may claim they warned the convoy that they would be boarded if they tried to get through the blockade. They may claim that only one ship in the convoy resisted. They may claim that one of the crew took a weapon off a soldier and shot him with it. There are videos to show the soldiers being mobbed.

However, we will claim the blockade is illegal, we will claim that they sent a military force (whose theatre of operation is combat) into international waters to board an aid ship - in a sense making them unlawful combatants, and we will claim that upon the crew protecting their property, they were met with deadly force. The crew which has now been incarcerated as if it has committed a crime against Israel.

The real victims are the intended recipients of the aid, the delivery of which has yet again been frustrated. Of course the illegal wall remains also, and the illegal settlements continue to be built on illegally obtained land. Every act is not unlike an invading force. After recent news you also have to question whether there is a racist element to the history and breadth of action by Israel. Only a week or so ago, there were revelations Israel was going to sell nukes to the racist Apartheid regime. They seem intent on trampling over their neighbours.

Quite frankly the way the 'international community' responds to situations like this is sickening. It is absolutely without teeth. Does Israel hold damaging secrets about all these countries or something - why are we so afraid to hold Israel to account, or to use forceful intervention if necessary? I definitely think the time has come when that option should be on the table.

I quite agree. What the Israelis have done is no different from the actions of Somalian pirates. It is impossible to sanction one without sanctioning the other.
The Israelis refuse to allow the foreign nationals who have been taken captive by them to speak to their embassy staff or contact their families. In other words, they refuse to allow the views of witnesses to be heard because they might contradict their own version of events.

Have a look at the video and I suspect that you will revise your view that there was 'no resistance whatsoever' ...

Anonymous: the way you speak about 'the' video betrays you: You have clearly been looking at the IDF point of view on this thing, not at other points of view.
That's too bad... It's too bad that you are not willing to consider the point of view of the VICTIMS...
